Last  week, a judge and prosecutor in Kenya decided in court that anal exams prove or disprove homosexual intercourse. As any educated person knows this is totally bogus witchcraft and voodoo justice. Such thinking by supposedly intelligent professionals is overwhelmingly absurd and hard to believe in this century. It reflects total ignorance of human behavior, human anatomy, human rights, science and medicine. It violates all modern rationality. It is frightening to consider the consequences of such ignorance on the lives of innocent people who are simply following their natural inclinations. Sex, love and intimacy are primary human needs that long existed before the state of Kenya, long before that country’s laws, before religious myths and proscriptions, long before arbitrary attitudes and rules about  sex, love and intimacy. Such backward thinking accounts for the lack of progress in human rights/gay rights efforts in Kenya in the 21st century.
